I Hope You Know You're Playing this Game With Yourself...

And it seems to be called let's see how big a pile of NLLL'ery I can create and then live in.

AE went to drop off the book in question and found despite the scheduling that he was unavailable and she wasn't interested (and nor should she be) in hanging around until he was free so that I could get the bracelet and etc back, which was the main part of his hissy fit.

Oh dude, this whole business of control is:

Seriously:

And even T-Swizzle the Queen of your kind agrees.

Again - I know you think this is all about you, and your life, and your dreams and your heart and your  guilt and on and on and on, but please:

And yes I will say that I did want you bad but you know what's awesome - there is a little Queen B in all of us who just needs friends to show us how much better we are and how fierce we can be on a dance floor.
And again dude, this is a wreck of your own making right from the beginning, check it, seriously because you're going to be the one needlessly suffering.

And on the last note the song that had me almost busting out some kicks and jazz hands at the bus stop this morning:

And on that note there is a name change - NLLL-EB or NB from henceforth

Update: NB claims that AE screwed up and that she should have interrupted his meeting or called before getting there despite my confirmation that 11 today was fine. NLLL-NLLLing-NLLL dude.

What Have I Done?!!!

I have signed up for an online dating site, 5 years after I shut down my last account.  I must admit that while a lot has happened in my life in the last 5 years, it seems that not a lot has happened in the online dating world.  I am still over educated and fishing around in a pool of men who seem to seriously undervalue the importance of a capitalized "I."  It will be good for laughs with JS and my roommate, but I seriously doubt that anything will come of it. But I will let you know.

So in light of this whole profile business I must post this which seems to be the story of my life these days.  Not me sleeping around, but I've sort of, shall we say marginally, come to accept that I am going to be the "slut" of the school.  Personally I hate the word, I wouldn't use it on anyone, but it seem in my very conservative school that because I'm a woman with breasts who does occasionally have cleavage or my shoulders bar that I'm scandalous.  Even further to that scandal I'm a feminist who uses birth control which according to a very interesting but ultimately sad  conversation with DirectoryBoy, who if you remember is a medical doctor, birth control is only for promiscuous women.  Yes you heard me.  I guess I haven't been using mine to its full potential.

Primarily because I love this site: http://editorrealtalk.tumblr.com/

Maybe You Can Find a Cutie in the Grocery Store

Yesterday I schlepped off to the grocery store to pick up some food since the shelves around here are getting a little empty.  Of course it was pouring and so regardless of the fact that I needed to shower - I opted to just smack my signature eye liner on and head off - bed head in tow.  Of course this is the day that a cute East side boy with manners would be in the isles of our local market.   Well the good ones are taken for good reasons - and I'm sure he was off the market, or shopping another one all together.  Regardless, I just needed the smile - a remember that while Directory Boy might like them all model looking, that I'm not alone in the whole wide world of single women of respectable and worthy quality.  Heck I live with a woman who should have a line up around the block for her -and she's more single than I am.

So yep - I might have a little pep in my step - so to the boys of this world - smile occasionally, even if you have no intention of dating or even like my gender, it reminds the other half of humanity that there is life out there.

And before I get chewed out for not chatting up the boy - I put an I Saw You on Craigslist acknowledging his manners - if he wants to say hi he can.   But acknowledging good behavior is more important to me right now.

Man Children...

Not that I need to bring any 20 something year old woman's attention to the pandemic sweeping the northern hemisphere, but if for some reason you've been trapped somewhere for the last 5 years doing something more important, like shoe shopping let me inform you.

Man Children - they are everywhere and they come in various forms - Reformed, Relapsed and Permanent Peter Pan.

Reformed cases can be diagnosed as having/being the following: BI is a living example of this category - he has embraced responsibility while understanding that you can still enjoy youthful activities - these men make good calming partners and safe havens for dysfunctional Type A's who need to have the pole from their ass removed... or just somewhere to feel safe and decompress.

A former Peter Pan case, who shed the permachild syndrome by embracing some of the following:
Commitment to a job and/or a partner
Timely bill payments
Ownership of either or both a car and residence
Maintenance of said car and or residence
Grocery shopping/cooking for oneself
Producing offspring in a responsible way, i.e. not like Little Wayne or whatever he calls himself

Relapse Cases can be diagnosed as having the following:

Achieved the above, but somewhere in the process they snap - they decide that the world is a scary place and the Lost Boys are where they would rather spend their time. These men normally end up 35, divorced, late on child support and wondering why the world is so cruel. Suck it up buttercup, you left the nest no going back is my view... Yes some of these cases are those who end up being coerced into commitment, but for the most part they are just weak, just saying.

Sooo, that leaves us with the Peter Pan's of this world - and AB is going to serve as our example.

Peter Pan's are a sticky business...

In AB's case, he has a part time job that apparently pays the bills for his apartment/phone/utilities and more importantly his drinking. Said part time job allows for plenty of free time to spend on his art - a graphic comic book of sorts - which I will say had amazing art - he does have two art college degrees... anyways

The remainder of his time is spent socializing - partying w/alcohol is a regular past time, about as regular as his trashy female friends namely a certain cheating ex. Oddly enough his guy friends aren't an issue, sure they're young but for 25ish most of them have their shit together. And while he says he would like commitment and children and all that...that isn't the real issue. The real issue is AB like other Peter Pan's are a safe place - they are the best guy friend who makes you laugh, can cook, remember important events and basically make you think all those happy thoughts that make you fly - then they drop you on your ass when you need them most, like say standing in a pharmacy buying Plan B at 7am on a Friday, when he decides to go cold. Bless him, I loved him - but I'm looking for my reformed case and he won't be one of those in this lifetime.

A similar subject video - we need a little music around here...
